Peacock in the garden
That's us into meteorological autumn in the northern hemisphere and today has been one of the best of the summer. Really warm and sunny with the gentlest of breezes. Mind you I was up at an unreasonably early hour and can tell you that it was still dark at 05:30 with a nip in the air. Being awake at this ridiculous hour allowed me to see a lovely sunrise but I'd rather have been asleep.
Anyway, a fairly productive day of cutting back faded flowers in the garden and it's been great to be outside on such a beautiful day. The verbena bonariensis was covered in butterflies, mainly peacocks and red admirals.
A happy weekend to all
