Guildford Cathedral

I wasn't sure whether I should attend a memorial service at Guildford Cathedral with a camera slung over my shoulder. Would it be frowned upon? However, I was wearing black so the camera wasn't too conspicuous! I am so glad I did. I went in early and enjoyed exploring before the service. The cathedral has recently been refurbished and its cleaned 1930s lines looked wonderful on a bright day. Another view on extra.
The service was in thanksgiving for the life of a school friend of Norman's.
It is our 55th wedding anniversary today and we are going out for a meal with another from the same group of school friends and his wife. Spur of the moment arrangement as we had nothing arranged.
