Arrived.....

Beijing airport is enormous....you have to catch a train before you get to the baggage reclaim....our luggage arrived safely...given that we used the self service at Heathrow and had to label the bags ourselves, it was a bit of a miracle! The sky is very misty with pollution, but didn't smell as bad as I expected.

This statue is in our hotel courtyard....catching the light beautifully. We had an uneventful flight, only half full. We spent a bit of time catching up on our sleep, ready for tomorrow when we visit The Forbidden City. Tiedmark received a birthday cake..which was delicious ..see extras
