steppin' out...

...but perhaps a tad too early.

Officially, Spring is here on this first day of September and some recent days have been glorious and warm (ish) in the low 20s.
The 'bobby' hibernates during winter having scoffed enough during the other seasons to stack on the winter extras in their tail.
When the sun comes out they come out to bask.

Today the day started wet and windy and ended sunny but much cooler, down in the the low teens.
This dude, with the now skinny winter tail, has retreated under a few leaves and some spindly grass tree stems... hopefully he will warm up, eventually!
