Day 243 Stargazer Lily

Lily does love flowers. When she comes to stay we often buy lilies to enjoy doing her visit. This time she decided that she wanted a plant for her bedroom window sill, not cut flowers for the dining room table.  When it came to bedtime and we tried to close the curtains we realised that the plant was quite big and would spread further as more flowers opened.

I do hope I can keep them going until her next visit. As soon as she'd left I moved the plant from the window sill to a cool, dark corner to encourage them to linger.  Fingers crossed
