Last day of August
It has been lovely and sunny today if a little cooler. A great day for the last day of August.
We continued the quilt sewing this morning as the guys worked upstairs fitting a carpet. Of course the door needed a bit of adjustment after they had gone so Chris took it off and soon had it trimmed to size - Dad's come in useful too.
Grace was going to visit the second of her 'bump' ladies across the road at Southmead hospital as she had a little girl last weekend. She has had a bit of an infection so has been in ICU for a few days but all is well.

So we dropped here off with her friend ( the first 'bump' lady)'and then headed off to the other side of town. I wanted to visit Neal's Yard for a gift for a friend but first we popped into SoukKitchen for a bit of yummy Middle Eastern lunch.
Mission accomplished we went up to Clifton to a jewellers to see if he could mend a bracelet we've been trying for some time to repair. All other attempts have drawn a blank but this guy agreed to do it immediately and it will be ready to collect in the morning.
As it was so nice we then walked up onto Clifton Down to take in the view. The bridge (Clifton Suspension) looked magnificent as usual and I loved the distant hills and sky. Good to see some water in the Avon Gorge too. We were a week or two late to see any balloons from the famous balloon festival but you can see why it's an iconic sight when they fly over.
On the extreme left you can see a yellow balcony which is part of the cave system below the Observatory/Camera Obscura, you may also spot some men doing some maintenance work just below on time cliff face. Rather them than me!
