Scotch Pancakes

Ella woke up at 12.15am saying she was frightened. She settled down fine and didn't wake till 8.30 - unheard of. (I was awake at 6.)
She was sad when she woke and I wasn't in bed having my cup of tea, but I had to go to the dentist in Morpeth to get the inlay put back that I had flossed off a few weeks previously. There were no earlier appointment and the edge was lacerating my cheek. Mr C needed the car so I got the bus.

I was back by 10.30 so had time to play with the go-kart with the children - or Batmobile as Nathaniel insists on calling it. He told me at lunch about a dinosaur that once people had thought it ate other dinosaur's eggs, but now "scientists think it was carrying the egg". He told me the name of it but I can't remember.

Ella made Scotch Pancakes for pudding. Well she told me the ingredients and weighed them out and mixed and I put them on the griddle. Now she can just stand at the table to do it, whereas las time she needed to kneel on a chair.

They went home after lunch, then I fell asleep over the newspaper. The GP phoned to find out how I was doing with the meds - he thinks the dopey head will pass so I'm to carry on for a bit, as I'm certainly less anxious and can get back to sleep.

Ailie called and we had a walk on the moor - the heather is finished now.
