The Last of the Sun & Winter has Arrived
For just a few minutes every afternoon we get a lovely light that comes onto our verandah...it turns everything gold and warm.....I was a little late and just got the last few seconds to take a pic of the little guy's sweet face...who...I might add.... is growing like a weed.
For the first time since Winter started it feels as if it has finally arrived...bitter cold winds whistling across the mountains..is it snowing somewhere?.....(apparently it was threatened in the Blue Mountains)...it's rather weird really as Spring starts tomorrow....would love some rain though....everything is rather crispy and dry.
“The animal merely makes a bed, which he warms with his body in a sheltered place; but man, having discovered fire, boxes up some air in a spacious apartment, and warms that, instead of robbing himself, makes that his bed, in which he can move about divested of more cumbrous clothing, maintain a kind of summer in the midst of winter, and by means of windows even admit the light and with a lamp lengthen out the day.”
