Dear Heart

Burst

I was high as a kite when I saw Gran, and showered her with kisses.
"Sit over here, Liddy, in the sunshine."
No one really calls me Liddy anymore, and I miss it. I drank sweet tea and laughed and was entirely myself. And when the time came to say good bye I didn't want to let her go - I just wanted to hug and hug and hug her.
We picked Mum and Cheryl up from a wedding and took my beautiful Mamma Mia straight to McDonald's because it was my final night before returning to Cardiff. She looked like an Oscar nominee doing a pit-stop on the way to an after-party. She was giggling like a school girl all night.
