Fin d'août, fin de saison

End of August and the end of the holiday season here in France.  The holidaymakers have gone home, the kids go back to school tomorrow.  And the rain did come, but only five minutes ago, cooling things down and saving us from the nightly watering ritual.  We had a lovely long lunch with P and J, putting the world to right as usual.  On the way home we took a walk around Saint Céré, where the light also looked very much fin de saison.
