Autumn berries

We were in the Scottish Borders for my Father-in-Law's 80th birthday and decided to take a visit to Dawyk Botanical Gardens. It is a beautiful arboretum but the autumn leaves were not yet on display so here is a little red berry. I have no idea what it is (should have read the label!) but I thought it was very pretty and it reminded me of a glace cherry that you might get on top of a cocktail!
