A moment's reflection

After a heavy rain shower, I caught this reflection and thought it would make an interesting blip. The road markings add a little something.

The building in the reflection is the old Isaac Benzies store on George Street in Aberdeen.

It became Arnotts, part of the House of Fraser and closed in late 1985. It was converted into flats on the first floor and above and shop units, such as Cash Converters and Blacks.

As a student in the late 70s I would buy my stationery there and my former colleagues used to reserve a table in Isaac Benzies for their morning interval cuppa and fancy.

It's weird how you remember odd facts - but I was in Arnotts in 9th December 1980 between chemistry lectures when I heard on the store radio that John Lennon had been shot dead. (In many ways, my generation's JFK moment).
