We had a glorious day out with grandad and granny. We went to the city fountains. She chose a new clarinet book with a voucher she had. We Went to the maritime museum after a few complaints from katie. However she had a brilliant time. She did crafts, dressed up, chatted to "a fisher wife", did a trail, learnt how to tie nets from a real fisherman, listened to live performances of a sea shanties and a book reading. We then had a great time in Bill Bailey curiosities exhibition that was very amusing and interesting.
It was gone 2 by the time we got out and she was very keen for lunch! We picknicked by the pond and walked through the old town. We came to another play fountain in an area I hadn't explored before. Some children invited her to play with them for a while.
We then walked round to a gallery I was keen to visit as there was an interactive exhibition advertised. It was fantastic and she loved it. We'd arrived not long before closing though so we will definitely have to go back. She had a particularly good time controlling the robot.
Our final planned bit of the day was dinner out. There's an all you can eat, multicultural buffet she loves and when talking about where to eat, katie begged for it. We all approved of the choice! Our walk back to the car got a little distracted when we reached the fountains again, at gone 8.30pm. Coloured lights lit up the jets and it looked like a display of wonderful fireworks. She simply couldn't resist.
