Big bird.
This is the Buccleuch Arms in St Boswells, built in 1836 to accommodate the aristocracy who used to come to the village to take part in fox hunting. The Duke of Buccleuch's kennels were just behind here and were in use right up until the 1990's when the laws around the sport were changed.
I was going to come back to this for a Silly Saturday blip, but I never seem to be heading in the right direction at the right time, so I dedcided to stop on my way home after the school run this morning. I think it needs a bit of a trim now as you can barely see the eye, but it still makes me smile.
