Frustration

This fusee mechanism comes from a very large clock that is panelled in a Pugin style fit for the House of Commons.  It probably came from a bank and dates from the mid 19th century.  I cleaned and rebuilt it a couple of days ago making a few adjustments but it is stopping inexplicably. There will be a reason and I will find it but as there are about a hundred things that can stop a clock. It can be very time consuming. I have mental flow diagrams to eliminate possibilities but it can be frustrating finding the problem and problem solving time cannot be charged.  I may have to strip the clock down again and examine each part minutely with an eyeglass. You win some and you lose some!
