Museum Monday

We've been trying for a month to see the Titanic exhibit in a nearby museum. I even re-watched the movie this weekend...to attempt to be an "expert" at the exhibit.

They gave us boarding passes at the entrance, with real Titanic passengers stamped on them. Lisa and I were in the second-class section as husband and wife. At the end of the exhibit, they had a list of the deceased, and of the survivors. (Lisa survived, I perished.)

Just as it was portrayed in the movie, one of the problems was that there weren't enough lifeboats. And, when they did release them, they were woefully under-loaded.

It was an interesting exhibit, although a little overpriced. (For my 12 dollars (the senior price), I wanted to hear Celine Dion singing the theme song, AND I wanted to see Leo doing THE drawing of Kate.) HA!

How did Merrick do? He did ask a few questions about the big ship, but he was just as happy to be playing in the children's area of the museum.

How about one of the facts that surprised me? In the 3rd class section of the ship...for 700 people...they had 2 bathtubs. 2 BATHTUBS FOR 700 PEOPLE! YIKES!

P.S. No picture taking allowed in the exhibit.
