A day by the sea

Max was doing photo shoots all day with Zeb assisting so I took Gulli down to Shoreham to see my oldest lovely friend Simone and husband Nik on their houseboat, it's been a labour of love, slowly restored over the last few years mainly by Simone who is a sculptor and metal worker and very hands on, although still needing a few bits doing it is more or less finished! It really is so lovely!
We had fresh fish and chips on the boat and then went for a walk to check out all the houseboats which are amazing to behold, check this one out here on air bnb!! Or this entire Ferry! which is next to Simone and Nik, I met the owner Carolyn today who is lovely and showed us around, it really is an amazing space!
Then we went to the beach and had an ice cream, I am quite sunburnt!
I chatted to Nik about his project with George Cockcroft aka Luke Rhinehart who wrote the Diceman, Nik is a Composer and has an album finished with George, he is working on getting it pressed on vinyl. I have heard one track, it's so good and deserves to be heard.

Then we caught the train to Brighton with Simone who was going to Hove to meet a friend and met up with Karen, another of my closest and oldest friends who is also Gulli's godmother, we called in on Stu aka Boogaloo Stu and James unannounced who were very welcoming and invited us in for a glass of wine, they also have an amazing home, an old house of about 200 years but thoroughly modern and white inside with carefully chosen arty 70s style furniture and no 'things' cluttering it like my house, I found it very restful.

Then we walked into town and had dinner with Karen at a nice Italian, we didn't get home till almost midnight, it's been a great day and I just love my interesting artistic friends so much.
