Did something amazing today?
Today was my day off. Last night I got side tracked as I was leaving work, because I was buying a ticket for the Royal Melbourne Show. Subsequently, I forgot to take some stuff from the hospital to the satellite clinic on my way home. Oooops! However, I did get the the show! I got up, slightly late by my standards, this morning and headed into the Melbourne Showground. I saw cattle (most of which were British or Scottish breeds), sheep (most of which were British or Scottish breeds) and horses (most of which... you get the idea). I saw arts and crafts, local produce stalls and plenty of scary rides for the kids. It was good but very busy - it's school holidays here! I decided to come back via Melbounre and the docklands for a wander around as I have neglected this side of the city so far.
My photo is of the medal and letter "Lofty" sent me, all the way from the UK after completing the Great North Run. I usually wear all his medals after he finishes, and unwilling to let traditions die, I wore this one too. All the gain, without the pain! x
