Knee-high to a grasshopper

We set a relatively early alarm this morning, but then decided we were still too knackered to go climbing.  Instead, we decided to go for a walk into the park before it got too hot.  Tim took the car out for a short run after that, and then we spent the rest of the day hiding from the heat indoors (not really possible in our flat as it's a real heat trap, so a more accurate description would be 'wilting from the heat' indoors).

Spotted this grasshopper-y thing on our bedroom ceiling, so caught it in a glass, took a few photos, released it into our window box, and took a few more.  This one, looking through the window eye to eye made me smile!
