Linya

"City-dwellers begin and end their days in queues. There's a line when you catch public transport in the morning and even longer one to get home. And, sometimes, a line is a line for another one. Doktor Karayom harnesses this frustration in Linya by lining up 300 small sculptures, each one encumbered yet resigned to this quotidian ordeal. Here, you experience a gamut of human emotions - rage, despair, confusion, hunger - as the people in the line are herded from one point to another. While you curse the system that enforces such chaos, you are left with no option but to follow."

I like how art makes us want to want things. It has such a magical power that enables us to experience something greater than us.
