Alex Salmond Unleashed - the final night

Back from Spain yesterday and straight off to Edinburgh today , but that was a pleasure because I was honouring an invitation to be Alex Salmond's "mystery guest" in the last of his run of 19 sell out performances of "Alex Salmond Unleashed" on the Edinburgh Fringe.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in such a vibrant , entertaining and fast paced show so thanks to the whole team and to Sheena Wellington who also made a surprise appearance at the end to reprise her performance of Burns' great anthem of equality "A Man's a Man" at the official opening of the Scottish Parliament 18 years ago.

Thanks also to the very generous bidders for dinner with Alex afterwards which raised £1000 for two charities I have nominated in my constituency- details to come later once they know the good news. Incredibly in addition to entertaining over 6500 people and receiving rave reviews the performances have also raised over £23000 for charity.
