Rain hitting the porch windows

We had the lightening storm from hell last night for several hours with Chicky, my dog, glued to me, hiding in the covers of the bed, but when we got up this morning the rain had soaked into the garden courtyard of our privacy gsrden, and even though streetsr were flooded, my yard and house stayed pretty dry. Just the wind and rain sure messed up the windows. Will be glad when the rainy season is over. But all the rain sure perked up my drought stricken plants.
