Certainly Uncertain

Oops - In the Pound!

Loki and Corra in Ye Olde Town Pound. We've lived here for almost 5 years and we've driven past this old pound I don't know how many times. After our evening walk, Mr. Badger, the dogs, and I all headed out to find some long lasting chews to keep Corra occupied and not ripping her stitches out. On the way back I asked if Mr. Badger would mind stopping at the pound for some pictures. He had no idea what I was talking about ... he'd never noticed it before. So, here it is - The Londonderry Town Pound, with two dogs in it :)

Today started off swimmingly. I had been up until almost 1:30am trying to fix something for today's release. Corra woke me up at 5am because she needed to go to the bathroom (good girl!) and afterwards I couldn't get back to sleep =\ Of course Corra had no problem! Anyways, I was groggy and grouchy and not really with it. After our morning walk, I was doling out dog medicine ... I accidentally double dosed Corra with her pain meds. I felt like the biggest idiot ;_; Mr. Badger called the vet's office and while they didn't think it would be an issue, they had me bring her in just in case. While I was driving over there, a vet tech talked to the manufacturer and they said it shouldn't be a problem at all. The only concern was her vomitting and ripping internal stitches. So, at least she didn't need to chug charcoal ;) She just had some fluids and had a back hump like a camel!

I had the chance to talk to her vet in person today about her leg. The bad news is that the vet said there is no way she'd clear Corra to do any agility. I am really bummed =\ On the plus side, she said she'd still most likely be fine for herding and rally. I am going to see what her breeder thinks and go from there, but at least Corra is feeling alright :D
