You are the Sunshine of My Life

I had a really awful hangover this morning.  I wasn't sick, but boy I felt rough.

Two bottles of wine between us, was just a tad to much to someone who is all but teetotal these days.

It took me til 11 to get my arse out of bed and to the table in the garden.  I drank sweet tea and ate bacon til I felt a bit better, and then we went up and stood in the allotment for a while.  I say stood, because that is exactly what we did.

I picked a few strawberries (see extra), but the movement of bending down was making me feel worse.  So we stood for a little while longer.  We contemplated the neatness, which is so not us.  We contemplated the sweetcorn which looks healthy and strong and fingers crossed, might just provide us with some actual cobs.   We contemplated the cabbages, and wondered what went wrong with the caulis.

Then we had a wander.

We wandered up and down, and along, examining everyone's plots, and figuring out plans for next year.

We spent some time speaking to j, who has , in my opinion, one of the most beautiful plots on the ground.   it has a "wild" look about it, but as she said herself, it took a lot of work to get it to look that way.   It is very "peaceful" and has a very calming feel to it.  Is beautiful.

Then we wandered off, and came home and drunk more tea.. and Himself made Potato and Leek soup from D's Leeks, and Our Potatoes.  And then we had a wee shop. and then we came back again, and drunk even more tea and coffee, whilst I still felt a bit rancid.

Now I am starting to come to, but I don't think we will be doing much else today, other than sitting and watching rubbish tv.  - And drinking more tea.
