Who'd a Believed It?
About a month ago Lesley suggested The Bishopsteignton Commitments might do a fundraiser for Rowcroft Hospice in memory of her husband who sadly passed away from cancer last year. The event was to be held in her garden which just happens to be a perfect shape and large enough to accomodate enough people to make the event work as a garden party.
Of course, as it was to be on August Bank Holiday Monday we did wonder whether the weather woud play ball and said we'd have to cancel if it didn't work out. In case of it being a bit 'iffy' we decided to put up a marquee to cover the equipment and electricity supply. I for one never suspected for a moment that we might be lucky enough to get two days without a cloud in the sky for the event! Not after the weather we've had over this summer anyway.
We put up the marquee this morning and I thought I'd send the drone up to capture the set up from the air. I'm looking forward to a fun afternoon and hoping everyone will have a good time and we raise loads of money for the charity too.
