Sunday morning...
Not much going on. The Thorneycroft would have been seen at this garage. Both are based on actual MacBraynes properties. The Booking Office was converted from a Thorneycroft service bus and was often seen in the Square at Portree. The garage still exists today on Islay and the MacBraynes name is still visible. The shed in the background was a ship's chandlers at Kyleakin and the breakdown truck is typical of the hundreds that were converted from WWll surplus.
When a camper van I hired in 1975 broke down at Struy Bridge one of this type from Newton's of Dingwall towed me back to Inverness.
