LONDON!
Woke up to buckets of rain! I am not used to this!! Stood looking out on the decking wondering how much rain can these clouds possibly hold!!
I always love going up to London on any visit here, so despite the weather, my friend and I drove to Clandon Station to catch the train to Waterloo. What a good job we went. It stopped raining, and 45 mins after arriving in London, the sun came out as well!!! How wonderful I thought!
Walked over Waterloo Bridge to get back to the Station and the lighting was PERFECT! Managed to capture this view in between buses, cars, pedestrians, cyclists etc! This man walked along and just stopped to take it all in. Couldn't wait long enough for him to move, so left him in the shot. He did remind me of the poem Leisure by WH Davies...
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this is if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
How great that he had the time to stop. We did too... very relaxed, no hurry morning. Got what I needed done. Quiet evening sadly with no internet as the connection on this Park is er rubbish not very good!
