Red Spider Lily

This was a strange sight as I was leaving Mom's house on Sunday morning.
I noticed it as a spot of red in the middle of the lawn.
As I stopped by the hospital to tell Mom good bye, I told her about her Lily. She planted many of these in the area many years ago but lawn has been growing here for over 30 years. Mom says that every year or so one will surprise her. This is a tough flower. The lawn is St. Augustine and hardly ever allows another plant to invade.
