A fine backdrop

Wonderful backdrop. Perfect weather. A great day at Dufton Show.

And everyone won something, which was very gratifying, after all the effort. Our five year old gained a first prize for her Raspberry Buns – she was delighted. And Gordon’s Rock Buns were judged to be the best of five entries – we were most impressed. The rest of us got a second or a third, including our ten year old who capably managed their dog in the Pet Show (see extra).
 
We wandered and watched and wandered again, the two girls completed the Fell Race, children took part in races, we had pizza and we had ice creams. At the end we watched the heritage vehicles make their way onto the Main Ring.

Afterwards all ten of us went for a meal at The Bridge Bistro - brilliant. 

What a fantastic day for everyone.
