I've had a great time today. I had seen a digital photography course advertised and decided it was probably about time I should know what all the buttons that aren't the auto one actually are! I learned such a lot today and it all made sense. I have had some bits explained very patiently to me before but Ive never really had the inclination to spend any time on it before. The instructor was really good and made it all seem very easy. He was saying that the way to remember it was to over the next few weeks not to go back to auto but to stick with the manual controls because even if we miss a few photos in the short term we will soon start to have control over the camera. I have to admit though because there was a while to wait for the bus I went into the gardens of Crathes Castle for a wee wander and realised oops I seem to have forgotten stuff already. However by stopping myself from turning the dial to auto I did actually manage to get the hang of it  and got some photos.
