Catholic Cathedral (aka Spiny Norman)

The plan was to take the miniMinx for a birthday lunch at Death Row Diner in Liverpool but, contrary to its Facebook page, it doesn't open until 5pm, so instead we went to Frederik's, next door. Now Death Row Diner is an excellent place to eat and drink - would recommend - but as the miniMinx has never been, she didn't know what she was missing and the food at Frederik's turned out to be excellent (as was their music). 

After that I went to meet Bob at the Philharmonic for a couple of beers, after which which moved onto Ye Cracke. It was at some point moving between venues that I took this shot of the Catholic Cathedral looming over Hope Street in a slightly Pythonesque manner.
