Folk Fest Saturday

It was a struggle today between the main blip and the extra (Tim and my beloved CBC symbol) but Anaïs Mitchell won out. Tim introduced her music to me - what a talent. She's written a musical theatre piece called Hadestown that will be showing at Edmonton's very own Citadel Theatre in October but here's a taste. Please do listen to the lyrics

I remember that this day and the following were incredibly hot and that Tim and I took shelter in the shade in the afternoon. I guess carrying my waterproof trousers from Edinburgh across Canada and back again really paid off!
