Halifax Piece Hall

The Piece Hall is a grade 1 listed building built as a cloth hall for handloom weavers to sell the woollen cloth 'pieces' they had produced. It opened on January 1st 1779 with 315 separate rooms arranged around a central courtyard.
It is a most impressive building and has had a huge restoration reopening on August 1st this year. We went inside these domes and experienced a visual sensation of amazing vibrant colours. Very impressive.
We hope to go back again as I am sure there will be other great events.
