Blowing in the Wind
Kinetic art is a form in which light and balance create a work that moves, or appears to move. Early kinetic art was created from any medium that had the perception of movement. More modern forms use air currents, light energy or electric motors to create such effects. Simple wind chimes or mobiles are forms of kinetic art.
Movement of the kinetic sculptures in my blip is created by the wind. I have seen a dozen wildly spinning and whirling sculptures here on a windy Spring day. These are found in the Karen Newbie Sculpture Garden in Tubac, Arizona.
