Barge Boards

When the unexpected rain stopped falling today I went out to start putting the barge boards into place.  It all went surprisingly well. The right-hand side went up easily. The left side needed a little more preparatory work. However, by the time the growing chilliness of the evening and the biting midges drove me in the first board was in place on that side too.
By the way, that very round hole over the door arrived courtesy of a wood pecker. I'll add that to the list of jobs!
