Local Landscape
After several days revelling in the limestone scenery of the White Peak area of the southern Peak District it was quite nice to see our rugged Pennine scenery again today.
With the usual post break chores to do this was just a quick photo taken from the side of the road as I returned from shopping. I like the view looking across to Brow Moor and beyond not far from our village but it was really the purple of the heather that caught my eye.
Can't get too much of it and it may go over soon so heather is here again for Flower Friday.
Washing and shopping done, Ironing to do now!
Have a great weekend and a good Bank Holiday if you are in England or Wales.
Flickr link here if you want to see more from the Peak District
