Abbeymount
I'm much better now, thanks for asking. It could have been worse, but it was still painful, nonetheless.
You hadn't heard? Oh.... OK then.
I was driving; me and her. Back from the supermarket last Sunday. Fountainbridge it was. Supplies laid in for the week; plenty of energy drinks, lots of snacks to be stowed in the rucksack whilst out Cigspotting.
When what should happen but Cigsvan#2 came out of a sidestreet and headed out of town.
In the ensuing move to try and get the camera from round my neck to take a photo whilst manouvering through traffic, I pulled a muscle in my neck and dislocated my shoulder. Agony doesn't come close. Watching that blipopportunity slip away will stay with me forever.
But the injuries have healed; it's only mental scars that remain.
So this weekend I shall mostly be staking out the same stretch of road. In the hope I can make good on the missed chance.
In the meantime, here's one from the archives. Another April 2014 one. Not one of the more artistic ones, I'm sure you'll agree. And once Leith Street is closed to through traffic in a week or so from now, you may well find yourself staring at this wall more than you'd care to and wish at least it still had the Cigs scrawled over it to offer some distraction from the traffic hell.
