FLOWER FRIDAY

Hottentot fig ( Carpobrotus edulis)  Indigeneous to South Western Cape of South Africa. The astringent juice of the leaves is considerd antiseptic and can be used to treat cuts, eczema, insect bites and sunburn.  Jam can also be cooked from the leaves, but I will really not try that!
