St John's Church, Shenstone

A lovely morning for a gentle walk around the village and through the churchyard.  The church was being prepared for a wedding, probably tomorrow, so there were signs up and pink bows attached to the fence and benches in the grounds.

This view is always difficult to expose correctly as the dark shadows and bright sky exceed the normal dynamic range of cameras.  For this picture I resorted to HDR and combined 5 frames taken at different exposures.  I normally shy away from HDR as the results often look artificial but I have tried to keep the balance believable.
