Home number 2

I had a childhood where we moved house and town roughly every three years, for most holidays I was shipped off to Grandparents or camps. That nomadic pattern rolled on into my young adult life &, so I've never really thought of myself as belonging somewhere and I don't really think of myself as 'from' anywhere in particular.
I love the thrill of travel and the new - but I think due to that early life I've also come to love being (relatively) settled and getting to know places intimately.
There's a comfort in the familiar that perhaps I was hitherto unfamiliar with.

St Gervais les Bains is as much home now as Orton, even though we spend considerably less time here at the moment. Arriving yesterday afternoon we saw familiar faces, both of the human and mountain kind.
No plans at all for this visit, just relax and try and remember the yoga every day - but I've a feeling the mountains will come a calling....
