Gotcha!

The plumpest ripest blackberries behind our back fence are usually the ones just out of reach -- which is why I always take my pick-up stick* when I pick them. It's very useful in my shop to pick up dropped items that always roll under benches or power tools.

I use my telescoping pole pruner to savagely prune the vines when necessary. Because I hadn't done any pruning lately, the harvest took longer than usual today -- about an hour. See result in extra.

* There seem to be a lot of different names for these things, depending on the brand name.
