Under the Lychgate...

The bougainvillea petals were scattered on the old stones outside the church, close to the wedding car. The gathering of guests and well wishers resembled the size of a football crowd.
The bride looked stunning, as all brides do. The groom equally as gorgeous. The beautiful people. Surrounded by more beauty in the guests carefully selected to attend.

The ceremony. The wedding breakfast. The evening reception.

Everybody loves a good wedding, this was no exception. A really good wedding. Loved by everybody.
Yet looking around at different points in the day, looking really closely, if you could probe inside the minds of some...perhaps not everybody was having a good time. Perhaps there was some sense of loss, of loneliness, of lack of direction.

Still the band played on.
