Good news today.
 The Scottish government have rejected the planning appeal to build 129  houses at Hillside on the edge of  Dunblane following vociferous local opposition.
So many congratulations to them all for a successful campaign.
 
Does this mean we can expect to hear a similar result for our Park of Keir Public planning inquiry soon?
 
The extraordinary silence – nearly a year since the Public Inquiry- may have something to do with the fact that Judy Murray, who wants to build a tennis and sports centre as a legacy for Andy Murray on the controversial Greenbelt between Dunblane and Bridge of Allan,  financed by executive housing, has been lobbying the Scottish government thanks to pro bono work by an influential PR company.
 
We learnt this the other day.
 
It might also account for the fact that she has received excellent coverage in the Sunday Times Scotland and The Times, all papers owned by Rupert Murdoch who employ the same PR Company to influence the Scottish government.
 
 
Who says money and celebrity status cannot be used to try and subvert the democratic process?
