Liapades

Our first trip to Corfu was 30 years ago when we were young and carefree! We just bought our flights and got our accommodation when we arrived. We ended up in a quiet village called Liapades. As we have hired a car for a few days we decided to take a trip down memory lane.

After a very hair raising journey with hair pin bends and crazy drivers we arrived in Liapades. The rooms we stayed in and our favourite restaurant were all boarded up but the walk up to the village square remained unchanged. I'm sure it was the same old men sitting drinking coffee and watching the world go by as well.

We walked down to the beach which was much further than we remembered and was also much more built up and touristy.

Our drive back was just as scary but worth it for our day of reminiscing.
