Tranquil evening!

I was 'volunteered' by No2 son to help at a family camp out - part of his community based job.
The easy bit was checking names of people attending as they arrived.  The hard part was helping to peel and cut up enough potatoes, carrots and onions for 30 people with a penknife!  Forward planning was lacking.  The resulting stew was delicious but not ready until 10.30pm.  Extra shows the cooking pots eventually doing there stuff.  I declined the offer to sleep in a communal tent with 6 others and came home in the early hours to my own bed smelling like a smoked kipper!
Have to admit the surroundings at a local nature reserve were stunning.
