High Rise

A fairly elderly lady I met in Fittie today, and who I took to be a long term resident of the area, told me that originally all the buildings were the same height and there were no "high rise" cottages. I have no idea if this is true or not. And actually I had some difficulty understanding her accent, so I may have misunderstood. I had the notion she did not approve of these redevelopments of the area.

Anyway the weather was fairly nice at the time, and she obviously wanted to have a chat so I dallied for a while. I tried to interject with nods of agreement where it seemed appropriate. We parted agreeing it looked as though there was cloud coming in and the weather might be changing. This bit I did understand.
