All about George

It's his first birthday today, dear little chap.  Despite what he might tell you, he did get presents - a new squeaky toy, which has been elevated to the position of best toy ever, and a bone, which has been abandoned in favour of the squeaky toy.  AND we took him for two walks.  So he's had a good day.

We heard yesterday that a sequoia had fallen in the RSL Walk of Remembrance so we went up to have a look.  It almost looks like it's been struck by lightening.  There's no evidence of borers, and it broke off about thirty feet up.  That makes it very difficult to deal with.  If it is replaced someone is going to have to clear the stump and that will be an enormous job.  If we leave it as is, it looks ugly, and the fallen bit will have to be removed.
