Two Sleeps...
Once again it's after midnight and I'm just getting the chance to post my blip. A hastily grabbed shot of Glendevon as we whizzed down the slip road onto the A9.
More prep today for the arrival of Lola including a visit to the raw pet food supplier. The sales lady was very helpful and chatty and as soon as we said we were getting a Golden Retriever puppy she knew exactly who we were getting her from. I think all of Carole's puppies new families have been in.
She said another woman had been in this morning. I guessed it was Janice, Alan's friend Rachel's mum and I was right. They pick Ted up on Saturday. It's so lovely that brother and sister and their mum will be able to keep in touch.
As as result of our visit, we now have a freezer full of chicken, turkey mince, beef mince and tripe. Thankfully we have a freezer in the garage from our old utility room that we were going to sell on Gumtree but hadn't gotten around to it. Just as well.
Deliveries of goods for Lola have been arriving thick and fast. I've gotten to know the delivery driver so well, he might be invited for Christmas dinner!
Carole took the remaining six pups to the Craighalbert Centre this afternoon to meet some of the children. The photos on the FB page are so lovely. I was in tears at the interactions between the children and the puppies. It reminded me (not that I'd forgotten) just what a special place it is and how lucky Alan was to have spent his early years attending there.
This evening has been spent checking if there's anything still needing to be bought for Lady Lola. Just one or two little things it would seem. The elusive one thing being goat's milk. I thought Tesco had it but when I came to add it to my online order, it had gone. Hopefully we will find some tomorrow otherwise David will be pulling on some surgical gloves, grabbing a bucket and touring Perthshire looking for a friendly goat!
Two sleeps! This is like Christmas x 1000!
