Dolly and the broken snail

I found this snail on the road just outside my house! Although his shell is broken he doesn't actually seem too bad, he was out trying to move when I picked him up! I took him upstairs and put him in a tub whilst I looked up what to do! Snails are apparently quite hardy and can survive broken shells if given time to heal, we will keep him moist and safe and give his shell a chance to grow back! He's quite lively at the moment, you can see he's upside down on the roof of the tub here, I hope that is a good sign!
