Glasgow toilets

These old toilets have been capped. You can see to the left of the picture the gates. These led down a couple of flights of stairs to the toilets below. These are the ladies toilets there's an adjacent toilet for men. 

I remember these being open when I was small. They were well kept and clean by a full time attendant in each toilet. This person took pride in their work and ensured everything was the way it should be.

Now? Replaced by an automatic monstrosity that self-cleans. Load of nonsense.
